When Netflix announced Seven Seconds, it was referred to as an anthology series. As a result, everyone thought it would certainly have a second season. Despite this fact, Netflix canceled this show after its first run. It seems like the showrunner planned something else, but Netflix decided to discontinue the show. However, Cindy Holland, vice-president of Netflix’s original content, stated that it is a limited series. And that’s why the streaming giant didn’t renew Seven Seconds Season 2. 

Cindy Holland’s entire statement reads, “We loved working with Regina, Veena, and the cast and crew of this show. Unitedly they built a compelling, timely, and appropriate crime drama. The first installment is a complete, stand-alone tale that we are pleased to feature on Netflix for years to come.”

What’s The Show About? 

The first season of Seven Seconds centered around Peter Jablonski, a white cop. He accidentally hit a black teenager named Brenton Butler with his car. Peter Jablonski called his friends on the force to the scene. Everyone assumed that Brenton is dead, and they cover up everything. But soon racial tensions began to rise in the face of crime and the lack of quick resolution of the case.

Seven Seconds Season 2: Release Date

The VP of Netflix’s original content already stated that it was a stand-alone series, and there won’t be Seven Seconds Season 2. Is There Any Hope?

The sudden arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic halted the production of the final season. When the hiatus came, the cast and crew were filming the second episode. Unfortunately, the makers weren’t able to start the production again as it would be impossible to maintain the Covid-19 protocols due to the wrestling and heavily breathing involvements. Also, the cast of Glow Season 4 was pretty huge, and the arrival of the pandemic increased its production cost as well.

It looks like Netflix didn’t find the final season worth investing in, and they eventually cancel it in October 2020. The main reason behind this cancelation was Glow being a physically intimate and high-cost series. Later, Sunita Mani sent a letter to Netflix, which she uploaded on her social media as well. In the letter, she shared her thoughts about the cancelation of the series. In the caption, she also stated that this letter was not to save Glow, but it has some personal stuff that everyone wants to share.

Glow Season 4: Release Date

The chances for Glow Season 4 to happen are very less until and unless the streaming giant reverses its decision again. Everyone accepted the fate of the series now, but if Netflix decides to conclude its storyline in the near future, then Glow Season 4 might come out in 2023 or 2024.

As a result, Netflix and The Weinstein Company jointly decided to cancel Marco Polo Season 3. However, after the announcement, a lot of fans tried to convince the makers to renew this show for another run. They made several petitions as well. But it seems like the producers hit their stop limit, and they’re not interested in investing more money in this historical drama. Therefore, the fans should accept that their favorite drama will not return for another run.

The vice president of Netflix’s original content Cindy Holland released a statement after the cancelation of Marco Polo Season 3. In this statement, she expressed her gratitude to the people who were involved in this show.

Cindy stated, “We like to thank and are grateful to our allies on Marco Polo from the artists, whose performances were brilliant and top-notch; to the dedicated producers, including Dan Minahan, John Fusco, Patrick Macmanus, and their crew. They poured their hearts into the show, and of course Harvey, David, and our friends at The Weinstein Company, who were great partners from start to finish.”

As previously mentioned, the probability of this historical drama returning is almost zero. And it is very unlikely for Netflix or any other production to pick up this show, especially after the great loss caused by its first two seasons. What We Do in the Shadows is an American horror comedy mockumentary TV series. Jemaine Clement created the show for FX. It is an adaptation of a film of the same name. FX recently revealed the titles of the first three episodes of the mockumentary series’ third installment. In the ending moments of the previous season, the viewers saw Guillermo killing all the members of the Vampire Council and the immortal guests to save his masters. Now, the third season will likely feature Vampire Council hunting for every single one of them to take their revenge. Back in February, showrunner Paul Simms talked with Deadline. In the interview, he teased some details about What We Do in the Shadows Season 3 as well. 

He said, “Well, without revealing too much. Yes, obviously, the second season concluded with not only Guillermo killing a lot of important vampires, but the vampires he exists with. Our main characters now, understanding that he’s already a secluded vampire slayer, and now they know about it, and yeah, we pick up very directly.” Simms also teased that the household will get a hellhound to defend it. It is indicating that the return of the Vampire Council is inevitable, and they will come again and knock on their door sooner or later.
