New Faces In The House For Second Installment

Earlier in the year, the show’s creators announced new about faces that will be joining the cast. It is clear that, among all the new faces, Melinda Dahl and Marco Grazzini will be joining Virgin River Season 2 as Staci and Mike, respectively.

Now, new reports reveal that In The Shadow Of The Moon fame Sarah Dugdale is now a series regular. She is cast opposite Alexandra Breckenridge for the second season. Dugdale will portray Lizzie. Lizzie is a young, cunning, beautiful, and unbridled woman who comes into the Virgin River after her parents ship her off in the wake of a shoplifting bust. She will show that she doesn’t really care about her family’s rejection, but underneath she is a woman with a bruised heart who is trying to mask to pain.

Along with Dugdale, Grayson Gurnsey, who we have seen multiple times in the first season, is now promoted to series regular for Virgin River Season 2. The actor portrays Ricky, a nice-looking teenager who works at the store owned by Jack. He lives with his grandmother after his parents’ death. In the first season, we see Ricky struggle between being a good kid and trying to find his confidence to make his own choices.

Along with the actors mentioned above, Donald Heng, Steve Bacic, Carmel Amit, Keith MacKechnie, Thomas Nicholson, and Lane Edwards are joining Virgin River Season 2, too.

Virgin River Season 2: Productions Details & Release Date

The production of Virgin River Season 2 had concluded roughly two weeks after the first season of the series aired. So, we can assume that either the show is in post-production at the moment, or maybe even complete. Thus, the ongoing global pandemic wouldn’t affect the pre-planned release date.

However, Netflix has not yet announced a release date. Although, we can be confident that the Virgin River Season 2 will release sometime in the second half of 2020. the first season released in December 2019, so perhaps the second season will release the same time too. Krakow Talks About Her Relief After Renewal

In an interview with ET over zoom, Krakow, McGarry, and McNally talked about the renewal and their excitement about the forthcoming installment. In the interview, Krakow says that she hopes that she will get to continue to deepen the relationships and storylines in the upcoming season. She also reveals that she is so glad that the show speaks to people even in the seventh season. It is amazing, and a real gift that they get to work on the show like When Calls The Heart.

The actress who is also the co-producer of the show stated that she is relieved after knowing that the show is coming back. She is very excited that they will get to tell more stories, the actress added. She reveals that the cast and crew are some of her best friends, so, she is looking forward to it.

McGarry and McNally Are Really Excited To Get Back To Work

Joking about their work McGarry says that he is very happy that they didn’t sink the ship. He thinks it’s great and amazing to be a part of When Calls The Heart. It is something that touches and moves people. The cast genuinely likes each other, so it doesn’t even feel like work. Now that When Calls the Heart Season 8 is coming, it makes me very very happy.

Talking about When Calls The Heart Season 8, McNally says that he is thankful and grateful. For him personally, he is grateful that he will have a job. Given the COVID outbreak, he is appreciative to know that he has work ahead. On the other side, he is very excited to go back, because it doesn’t feel like work. Everybody gets along very well. It feels like you are hanging out with your friends, he added.

The seventh season of When Calls Heart was the first season where Lori Loughlin was missing. The actress was written off after her arrest in the nationwide college bribery scandal.

Emily O’Brien Is Joining Days of Our Lives

In all these dark clouds, there is a silver lining. Emily O’Brien is coming in to join Days of Our Lives. She is coming in to play a character called Gwen. Her episodes will begin airing on June 5. Gwen will initially come in as Claire Brady’s friend at Bayview psychiatric institution. But then she will have a connection with Jake in Salem.

Jake has some people who are after him. So, he will track down his ex-girlfriend- Gwen. Gwen is the kind of person who will resolve the issues with all the wrong people. Jake came into Salem only a weeks ago. His uncanny resemblance to Stefan has Gabi thinking that Jake is none other than Stefan. It will be very interesting to see how Gabi reacts when she comes to know about Jake’s ex-girlfriend.

The Expanse Season 5: Plot Details

The fourth season of The Expanse was based on the novel Cibola Burn that released in 2014. So, it is very likely that The Expanse Season 5 will be based on its sequel- Nemesis Games. The book is Jame S.A. Corey’s one of the most acclaimed books. It features the increased disruption around the Solar System. This power is the same power that once Earth and Mars held. It is now finally breaking down as more people are leaving for the Ring Gates. The Expanse Season 5 will also explore the personal lives of all the characters in the show.

Clarissa Could Be A Major Part Of Season 5

The Mao family has been the major focus of The Expanse ever since the show began. A member of the Mao family, Jules Pierre Mao was the first one who got the sample of the alien creation. That sample was known as the protomolecule. This was used to play Earth and Mars against each other for profit. While all this was done, many innocent lives were lost. In the meantime, Julie, Jules’s daughter, joined the OPA and tried to hijack her father’s experiments. Instead, everything backfired, she got infected and acted as the ground zero for the infection of Eros, and became the one with protomolecule.

In the third season of the show, viewers got to see another important member of the Mao family- Clarissa. Holden and his crew took down Jules-Pierre Mao’s Protomolecule operation. After that, Clarrisa finds herself without a family. She has even lost her luxurious life that she had become accustomed to. To seek revenge, she attempts to frame Holden for the destruction UN Seung, UN Vessel, and then eventually kill him. She succeeds in blowing up the ship and besmirching Holden’s name. But, she is caught before she could complete her mission. Later on, she witnesses Holden and the crew struggling to save the solar system. Clarissa then switches sides and helps them before she ends up in jail.

Season Four Set Up For The Expanse Season 5

Clarissa wasn’t a part of the fourth season of The Expanse. That made many viewers believe that Clarissa’s story had concluded. However, it isn’t what it seems like. In fact, that could just be the beginning. The Expanse season 5 will be based on the novel Nemesis Games where the main quartet go on their separate missions, as mentioned earlier. Amos heads back to Earth, and his return coincides with Marco Inaros while he is attacking Earth with asteroids. So, as a last resort, Amos makes a run with Clarissa in two. He is desperately trying to find a way to go off the Earth and head to Roci. Ultimately Amos confirms to his new friend- Peaches that Clarissa is not an addition to the Rocinante crew.

The Expanse Season 5 Could Witness The Redemption

This storyline has already started setting up in the show. In the premiere episode of the fourth season, there was a short scene where viewers can see Amos chatting to Clarissa remotely using a futuristic interplanetary Skype call. This call, however, did not impact Amos in the fourth season. But, this has really set up an arc for potential entry in The Expanse Season 5. Along with that, Marco Inaros will be the next main villain who will attack Earth in the upcoming season. So, an important role could be coming up for Clarissa.

Many fans who have been keeping up with the show would argue that Clarissa had already redeemed herself, when she helped Holden in switching the Ring Gates and hence saving the Solar system, hence repaying for what she has done before. That point was a big turning moment for the character. However, the show has a record of turning supporting figures into some major way. Avasarala, Ashford, and Bobbie are a result of that. They play bigger roles on the TV than they have in the book. The lot has improved because of that, indeed.

Ashford is the apt comparison for Clarissa. He had started out as a villain, and then he embarked on a fascinating redemption in the fourth season. Clarissa had changed in the third season, In Expanse Season 5 she will prove herself worthy of freedom. She would even earn a place in Rocinante too. All this could take some time, but Clarissa will for sure have an Ashford-style arc coming up. She will prove herself as a protagonist.

Renewal Status & Release Date

The Expanse Season 5 had received an early renewal. The show was renewed even before the fourth season of the show released. Amazon renewed the fifth season of the show back in July 2019. The show was canceled by Syfy after the third season. Then, Amazon picked it up and then saved the show.

The production of the fifth season of the show is already complete. This means that coronavirus would not affect when the installment would release. However, Netflix hasn’t announced anything about the release date yet. If we take into account the previous releases, the fourth season premiered in December 2019. So, Amazon might release The Expanse Season 5 around the same time? However, in the time of this pandemic, it will be a treat if Amazon releases the episodes earlier. It looks like one parasite has indeed taken over his brain. That, however, isn’t necessary that the prince will become a monster. It is very unusual. The worm has been in his system for very long now. So, the prince could now become some strange zombie/human hybrid? Who knows?

Screenwriter Kim Eun-hee & Director Park In-je Talks About Kingdom Season 3

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the screenwriter of the show Kim Eun-hee talks about how the show will be compared with the situation the real world is going through. She says that, indeed, Kingdom deals with a pandemic. So, the current situation will inevitably affect the show, and it can be either good or bad. The show is a product of the creator’s imagination. But, she hopes that this pandemic soon gets under control as things get under control in the series. But, that wouldn’t be the main focus of the series.

Kingdom deals with a plague, but the creators have focused more on how the people respond to it. Some people fight it, some give up, and others use it to rise to power. She says that if the viewers put more focus on characters, they could relieve some stress towards the pandemic.

Director Park In-je says that he is hopeful that people wouldn’t hesitate to watch the series because it features a pandemic. He thinks that viewers will be able to accept it as a genre. The series- Kingdom is quite entertaining. The Korean viewership is quite familiar with the zombie genre. The show is, in fact, a period piece that feels familiar and helps lower the barrier. He hopes that the viewers are watching Kingdom and even enjoying it.

When Could The Show Release?

The first season of Kingdom premiered back in January 2019. Then, the second two arrived next year in March 2020. Keeping in mind the schedule, everybody had expected that Kingdom Season 3 would release in the first half of 2021.
