USA network announced in March 2021 that the fifth season will be the last of the show. Moreover, several of the characters have completed their arcs by the end of the fifth season. However, fans are unhappy, and they want to see more of Queen Of The South. Thus, they are demanding a spinoff series. 

However, the network has not announced or stated anything about the next season or a spin-off of Queen Of The South. So, chances are very bleak that fans would get another installment of the show. However, if some different streaming platform or network comes to the rescue of Queen Of The South, then a possibility might occur.

Did Teresa Die In Last Season?

The fifth season of the series was filled with several twists and turns. But the biggest of them all was the death of the lead character Teresa. The audience was completely mind blown when they learned Teresa was dead. However, it was later revealed that she was not actually dead. Instead, Teresa and her gang members managed to survive. Teresa survived and ran away from the world of crime like she always dreamt of. 

Alice Braga, the actress who plays Mandoza, said to Forbes that she is happy with the way her character’s story ended. She added that it had been an honor for her to portray the character on screen. Alice further stated that Teresa’s character has become a big part of her life, and she will miss her. Despite being a drug dealer, the character could teach several things to viewers, as per her. So, based on the actress’s statement, it seems unlikely that fans will see more of her as Teresa Mandoza in Queen Of The South Season 6.
