Furthermore, he stated, “Homeland has been the most joyful and rewarding experience of my career. Not many have been as lucky as me, partnered with the miraculous Claire Danes, supported to Fox and Showtime’s ends of the earth. And working in the company of some of the most gifted writers, actors, and filmmakers in the business. I am sad to see the journey coming to an end, but it is time.”

What Happened In The Last Season?

At the end of the eighth season, the show took a distinct angle. Everything connected at the end of the season. We saw that Carrie was being investigated, and she had to prove her loyalty to her Homeland. We got a glimpse of Nicholas Brody in the season finale, as now she is in the same state. The surprising disclosure brings more trouble in Carrie’s life.

High Seas is a fictionalized version of a genuine story. However, several aesthetic and thematic parts of Netflix’s fourth exclusive Spanish language series are based on true events. The layout of the imaginary ship Barbara de Braganza was mostly constructed by set designer Regina Acura and productions director Carlos Bordelon. He was inspired by the SS Normandie and the Queen Mary, two legendary ocean liners from the late Art Deco era.

An artwork depicting the trip from Vigo to Rio and Buenos Aires is shown in the exhibition. The map’s aesthetic, which is painted in warm, subdued tones ranging from neutral to deep brown, is very similar to the Atlantic Map in Queen Mary’s Royal Salon. Layla captured a video of Arik proposing a cease-fire, which Bashir sends to Arik. The plot grinds to a halt with the dramatic change of events. We can only hope that Arik will go to whatever length to save his family.

Is It Based On A Real Story?

While The Girl From Oslo is based on a factual story, it is primarily made up of fictitious dramatizations that combine to create a more realistic shell. The series contains some realistic elements, such as Bill Clinton’s narration at the beginning regarding the 1993 Oslo Accord. On the other hand, the characters aren’t based on real persons. Despite this, the show makes references to real-world events, such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s judgments.

Even though the characters aren’t real people, the bigger tale seems to match events from 2013. ISIS was suspected of kidnapping Israeli and Norwegian tourists in Egypt over a decade ago. The storyline of The Girl From Oslo is based on this news story. However, the series is not officially based on it.

The viewership of Mad Men saw a sudden spike when people were confined to their homes due to Covid19 induced restrictions. Recently, actor Jon Hamm who plays the lead role in the drama series reacted to this sudden spicule in the show’s viewership numbers.  

Jon said, “I found over the course of lockdown that a lot of people started watching it, that I actually thought had watched it.” When one of Jon’s friends finally saw the series several years after its release, Jon’s reaction was, Really? It’s been ten years since it’s been off the air. “But yeah. I’m very happy when people actually see it because it’s a good show. I’m proud of it,” he added.

Never Count Don Draper Out!

Nobody knows what happened to Don Draper after Mad Men ended. But it could have been a redemption narrative given the series finale’s implication. Long-time fans were enthralled by the series’ anti-decade-long hero’s unraveling, which gradually showed that his life was as fake as the advertisements he created.

Except for a brief mention in the pilot that the phrase was originated in the 1950s by advertising firm employees ad men on Madison Avenue in New York City. “Mad” was a combination of “Madison” and “ad,” and while Don Draper and his fellow advertising professionals may not have called themselves that, it was an appropriate title.

After all, Don’s mental health is called into doubt several times during the novel. He’s a fundamentally flawed man whose professional success is based on helping others through his clients.
