The eighth episode of SWAT Season 5 is titled “Safe House.” An undocumented immigrant lady will get kidnapped violently. The team will form a peculiar alliance in an attempt to rescue the woman alive. The alliance might seem unlikely, but Hondo will have to take all he can get to find the woman before anything worse happens in SWAT Season 5 Episode 8.

In the previous episode, Hondo handled his first project after becoming the squad’s leader again. He planted a confetti bomb in Chris’s locker. She got surprised when she opened the locker, and Hondo told her that it was an early surprise gift. Meanwhile, in SWAT Season 5 Episode 8, the team responded to a shooting involving the Russian mafia. The mob was chasing three teenagers who had stolen money from one of their stores. Unfortunately, one of the teenagers was shot down by the Russians. However, Hondo came to the rescue and took the kid to the paramedics.

Hondo had to find the two teenagers before the Russians found them. It turned out that some former Russian special force members owned the store and used it for money laundering. Saint suggested Hondo meet a woman who might be aware of the whole incident. Hondo met the woman and tracked the two teenagers to an encampment with Luca. However, the Russian mob showed up at the same instance. 

Eventually, Hondo and Luca managed to arrest a mob member during the shooting, but the teenagers slipped away from the spot. The man named James cooperated and told Hondo where the teens could be. But, the Russians reach the spot before Hondo and the team. In an attempt to save his sister, one of the teens, Manny, gave himself up.

Luckily, Hondo and the team succeeded in rescuing Manny and his sister Fabi from the Russians and recovering the money. At the end of SWAT Season 5 Episode 7, Street gifted Chris skydiving vouchers for her birthday.

In the seventh episode of Now We Are Breaking Up, Ha Young Eun was surprised to find that Soo-won was engaged while he was in a relationship with her. Shin Joo Yung called her from Soo-wan’s phone. She told Young-eun that Soo-wan talked about meeting a woman before he was killed in a car accident. Yoo-jung also told Young-eun that she was engaged to Soo-wan. Young-eun was shocked to know that Soo-wan was cheating on Yoo-jung with her.

After realizing the truth, Young-eun came closer to Jae-kook. He stood by her side and also confronted Yoo-jung for calling her. His elder’s brother ex-fiancee told Jae-kook that she was aware of his romance with Young-eun. She also threatened him by informing Jae-kook’s mother about it. In response, Jae-kook called his mother, told her about Young-eun, and expressed his desire to meet. Jae-kook’s mother was shocked that Young-eun was the same girl Soo-wan talked about. Meanwhile, Hwang Chi-sook began to develop feelings for PR Head Seok Do-hoon.

In the eighth episode, Jae-kook was happy to have Young-eun by her side and was ready to face any odds that came in their way. He also met his friend Cedric, who sold a photo that Jae-kook captured to Young-eun years ago. However, Yoo-jung was still upset with Jae-kook’s behavior and decided to pull Young-eun’s brand Sono from her department store. Young-eun reached out to Jae-kook, who came to her rescue. The previous episode began with Tae-seok contacting Hi-hyun. He lied that Sae-bom’s blood did not have antibodies. He advised Yi-hyun to send Seo-yoon out of the building as they were tried to secure the minors during the lockdown. Yi-hyun requested that Sae-bom must be taken out with Seo-yoon. Tae-seok was suspicious about Yi-hyun’s request as it was strange of him. 

Meanwhile, in Happiness Ep 10, Sa-bom checked up on Se-hoon, whose apartment door was open. She found that Se-hoon was gone and contacted Yi-hyun. Sae-bom showed him the note she found in Se-hoon’s apartment. He confessed to committing a major wrong in the letter and could not endure anymore. He also requested to divide the ration between the residents.

However, the duo was suspicious about Se-hoon’s handwriting. They investigated the matter and found the cleaning lady Ajumma’s body in an apartment upstairs covered in lime powder. They found the same powder at Se-hoon’s place. Meanwhile, the residents fought over dividing Se-hoon’s food and water.

Further, in Happiness Ep 10, Yi-hyun acted strangely, and Sae-bom found him out of bed. So she went after him and saw him with a radio in the lobby. She saw a cut in his hand and took him to clean it. Moreover, the residents found out about Ajumma and suspected that Se-hoon might have done it. However, it seemed like Andrew was behind it.

Tae-seok called to take Sae-bom’s blood after his wife started to lose her sanity. Yi-hyun was not too happy about his, but Tae-seok convinced him. Meanwhile, Yi-hyun decided to go out and get food. However, a resident suggested that it could be worthless. So, they discussed starting a power source in the basement that could provide electricity and water.

Se-hoon Turns Up Dead

Meanwhile, the duo looked for See-hoon. His dead body was found in the basement with the lime powder. They grew suspicious as Sae-bom found Se-hoon and Deok-soon’s id in Andrews bag. Eventually, Andrew shot Jung-kook and was playing with Seo-yoon. Yi-hyun and Sae-bom rushed to the apartment and asked Andrew about his real identity. In the end, Andrew removed his goggles, hat, and mask.

Moreover, Gray successfully transferred his consciousness into the synthetic body prepared by Dr. Hugh Culber. Also, Sylvia Tilly teamed with Burnham on their mission to track the dilithium. 

It turned out that the thieves had set up a base at the moon and used dilithium crystals as an energy source. However, the thieves ambushed the landing party and claimed to have Latinum, a valuable substance. They explained the need for dilithium until they returned to their new homeworld. Towards the end, Burham went to check up on Book, who was still trying to process his home planet’s destruction.

Taylor was taken aback when she heard about the Annual Drug Test. She was sure that she wouldn’t pass the test as she took Adderall. Maggie also noticed his biological daughter had a panic attack. So she asked Taylor about the matter. Taylor told her everything, and Maggie used pills to flush Taylor’s system. Eventually, Maggie helped Taylor pass the test.

Meanwhile, Hammer was struggling to find her mother with Halstead. While looking for her mother, the duo came across a young girl at the dope house. They called the cops to take care of the girl. Eventually, Hammer’s mom, Terry, came back and returned the money she owed for the van. Terry also revealed that she had decided to hit the road. Moreover, Halstead confronted Cooper after waking up, but he kept quiet. Also, Choi went ahead with a spinal fusion in in Chicago Med Season 7 Episode 8, which will need a bed rest of several months.

The FBI officer North investigated the disappearance of Yoy Walton in the previous episode. Voight was asked to see Sam Miller and North.
