Further, he was in debt, so he poisoned his daughter.

The caption reads: “Can we survive again?” teasing the second season of the most hyped zombie series. Soon the cast confirmed the renewal news through a YouTube video. The video started with Yoon Chan-young thanking the show’s worldwide fans for giving so much love to the first season of All Of Us Are Dead. He thanked the Netflix audience, followed by his fellow cast members.

Then, all the cast members voiced their excitement and said they were eager to return for the next season. Well, it’s quite not common for K-dramas to get another season. They generally run for one season only. But things are changing. All Of Us Are Dead Season 2’s renewal is unsurprising as the show quickly secured its place into the top 10 overall most-viewed shows on Netflix. In fact, the show remained in the Top 10 in almost two dozen countries. Thus the renewal isn’t a shocker at all.

Filmmaker Always Envisioned It As An Ongoing Show

Soon after the first season wrapped up airing, the filmmaker Lee Jae-kyoo said he wanted to return with the second. He told The Korean Herald they had already planned to return with All Of Us Are Dead Season 2. He said they intentionally crafted many directions, scenes, and settings in a way to expand the story to the next season. Even they brought a new race of zombies- immune and immortal- to spice things up. Lee also revealed that the first season focused on human survival, and now the sophomore run would focus on the survival of the zombies.

All Of Us Are Dead Season 2: Has Production Begun?

Soon after Netflix announced the renewal, reports surfaced that the show was in the pre-production stage. The creative team already started principal photography. However, it remains unclear when the filming will begin. In March 2023, Park Ji-hu told Teen Vogue that the filming had yet to start. Despite the labor issues in Hollywood, All Of Us Are Dead Season 2 will remain unaffected by the ongoing WAG and SAG-AFTRA strikes. In fact, LA Times has reported that it’s likely that the streaming giant will add more South Korean content to their streaming list amid the strike in the US. At the end of the first season, most zombies died after the Hyosan city was heavily bombed. It appeared Cheong-San died in the fire. Meanwhile, several group members lost their lives before the remaining members could come to protection. We also saw Nam-Ra parting his ways from the rest of the group, as he couldn’t control his impulses. Well, the ending scene was set a while after the spread of the virus began.

While visiting the memorial for her dead friends, On-Jo saw a fire on the school’s roof. This reminded her of the promise they all made to each other. The next evening, she, along with some other survivors, went to see their school. The school was now completely destroyed because of the explosion. However, they found Nam-Ra alive and doing well.

When the show returns for All Of Us Are Dead Season 2, fans can expect it to resume the story after the first season’s events. Season 2 will provide us with more detail about half-human and half-zombie creatures called Halfbies. There is also a chance a few zombies successfully cross the barricade to reach Seoul. She became a natural leader when her peers became zombies due to the Jonas virus. Nam-ra was the most intelligent student in the class, and she handled each subject methodically. On-jo, on the other hand, was enthusiastic. She encouraged her pals not to give up hope during the crisis.

Is Lee Cheong-san Dead?

In the penultimate episode, the survivors learn about the bombing because of Nam-ra. On the other hand, Gwi-Nam made one last attempt to kill Cheong-san. Although they whipped him, he bit Lee Cheong-san. However, the former went to divert the zombies so that his friends could escape from the building before the bomb was dropped on it. He drew the regular zombies into a plunging pit and deceived them into falling inside. Before that, Cheong-san bid farewell to On-jo and his buddies as he knew what would happen to him.

Viewers also learned that Gwi-nam had managed to survive the last encounter. Both fight till the bomb explodes. In the episode’s closing scene, Cheong-san was lying seemingly dead with other zombies in ashes. We also saw On-jo’s nametag in the scene. The scene implied that Cheong-san was dead in the episode. However, this was not the first time Cheong-san experienced a near-death situation. He always managed to escape from it before.
