The authors of the manga series and the other makers of the franchise also haven’t talked about the future of the anime. Eventually, everyone assumed that they canceled the show.

Is There Enough Source Material?

As we mentioned above, the plot of this anime series was adapted from the manga series of the same name. The debut season covered the first six volumes of the manga. And the authors have only published eight volumes so far. They released the last volume on May 9, 2018. It has been more than two years since they last published it. The remaining two volumes aren’t enough for any studio to make Gangsta Season 2. They’ll need at least three more volumes of this series.

Will The Anime Ever Return?

The production studio declared bankruptcy after releasing the first season. The authors have stopped publishing the manga just after releasing two more volumes. Plus, in the past five years, the popularity and demand for this anime have also decreased. So currently, nothing is in favor of Gangsta Season 2. If any other production studio came forward to revive this anime series, they’d need more source material to create its plot. And that’ll be very difficult for them to obtain.
