Star Season 4: Renewal Status
Even after all the efforts by creator Lee Daniels, Fox has canceled the musical show- Star. Daniels took on to Instagram to share the unfortunate news. He posted a video speaking about the cancelation.
Followers can see the creator saying that he has some bad news. The show isn’t happening. Daniels says that he tried his best. They had incredible people, so many that he cannot even list everyone. He will have to write a letter to name everyone. The creator continued to say that, in a nutshell, ‘Star‘ is not happening. He said he just wanted all fans to know that he tried his best. Counting other shows like Precious or Empire, Butler, and Monster’s Ball, the next is Star. Creator says that the show will now exist as being a part of his work. He thanked all the fans for their support and love.
In an interview with Deadline Charlie Collier (Fox Entertainment CEO) revealed that they had to keep one show between Empire and Star.Star’s cancellation came as they prioritized Empire as it was on for its sixth and final season. Collier called the cancellation of the musical drama a tough choice. But, they wanted to give Empire a send-off it deserved.
Speaking on Fox’s behalf in a press call, Collier says that they looked at their priorities. He went on to say that it was challenging for them to move Empire to the 9 pm slot because Star was always the lead out from the show. They didn’t have a 10 pm slot, so that was another tough choice they had to make while choosing between Star and Empire.
Honestly, Star’s cancellation wasn’t unexpected. Recently Fox has picked up many new dramas. The musical drama- Star ranked solid but could not grab great ratings. Along with that, the production of the show is very expensive. Star’s International sale has particularly very difficult. All this only added the cancellation of Star Season 4.

Nix says that the second season of the show sees these different parts debating about how they will deal with the humans. In The Gifted Season 3, he wants to explore the mutants as they take positions and learn how to deal with everything. Nix reveals that he also wants to take on the moral aspect. The mutants have special powers, so, do they owe it to society and other people or just use the power for themselves?
The first season introduced viewers with the conflict between Sentinel Services and Mutant Underground. The second season widened the field by concentrating on Inner Circle’s effort to create an all mutant homeland. Why Did Fox Cancel The Show? Could It Be Renewed?
After two highly-rated seasons, Fox has canceled The Gifted season 3. Critics very well received the show. The show bagged 74% and 85% Rotten Tomatoes for the first and second seasons, respectively. However, Fox revealed that the show was a soft performer in terms of linear ratings. The second season could only engage 1.1 average adults in the 18-49 age group. It had around 2.0 million viewers, which was low when compared to the first season, which had 3.3 million viewers.
Coming to revival, yes, there are fair chances for The Gifted Season 3 to find a new home. The production company for The Gifted is Marvel Television, which now has a series on Disney’s Freeform and Hulu. In a recent interview with Digital Spy actor David Harbour revealed what could be coming up in Stranger Things Season 4. He explained that the fourth season has some big revelations about Chief Hopper in store. Hopper’s mysterious background will finally take the foreground and unfurl.

The actor confirmed that fans would get to see some of Hopper’s deep stories from the past. He added that he is very excited to deliver these deep dark shades of the character to the audience. Every season has witnessed a different shade of him. In the third season, fans saw him in wackier tones. The actor stated he loved playing that, and now in Season 4, Hopper is coming in a darker palette. Many deep things that the show has been hinted over the seasons will come out. In fact, Hopper and the mystery will be the highlight for Stranger Season 4. Harbour even hinted about monsters, horror, and scary things along with Indiana Jones’s kind of action. We know Handmaid’s Tale season 4 is coming, but we don’t know when. Everybody was hoping that the show would release sooner, but it looks like the ongoing pandemic has really pushed back the show. The Handmaid’s Tale Season 4 is now pushed back to 2021.

The team started production earlier this year with an expectation for season 4 to released this fall, but everything stopped because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A report by TheWrap reveals that Hulu has told all advertisers that the fourth season is delayed until 2021. Nobody knows when the productions would resume.
The Handmaid’s Tale’s director and lead star Elisabeth Moss revealed that they were only into productions for two weeks when they had to stop. They did not get a lot to complete the shoot. She also said that they wouldn’t get back to shooting until the environment is safe. They want to get back to work because everybody in the crew has families they need to support, but no human’s life is worth a TV show, she added. They are also trying to figure out a safe way to resume productions.
What Will Happen In Season 4?
In the fourth season, June is probably alive. Although Miller has not confirmed whether she will survive her gunshot wound or not, he says that they are following June. She lives in Gilead, and it is not a beautiful place. It will not be a nice place. Miller says that they are trying to be realistic about what could have happened and how things would have gone. The showrunner reveals that they spoke to the U.N. about it to know what happens to rebels in such countries. So, they are still rummaging through the possibilities. If they are looking at the aftermath of June’s action, we can assume that she will be alive and face the consequences.
Talking about Gilead, the place will start becoming unstable. Well, it has never been stable in the first place. Viewers will continue to see the effects of power and mass exodus of children. It is the kind of thing they are taking into account very seriously. The reason for existence is reproduction. Now when they have started taking away the children, that would make Gilead very angry indeed.
Are The Creators Deviating From Original Novel?
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Showrunner Bruce Miller spoke that he sees a world beyond the current world. He would watch an episode about the Nuremberg trials post Gilead’s fall. There are a lot of things that can make you think about how everything has changed a lot. He added that they still want the show to follow the source material. Miller also reveals that their arc is very much the same as the novel’s arc. It is an arc of a woman’s experience in Gilead at the time. It’s her recollection that paints a picture of what the world would be like in that time, which still in the book.
The showrunner revealed that they are sticking to the novel. It will take time to cover the territory book covered very quickly. With Margaret Atwood’s new follow-up book Testaments out, creators have more sources to use. Testaments pick up roughly after 15 years from the events of the first book. The sequel is based on testimonies of three characters from the original book. These characters include Aunt Lydia, and two teenage girls called Daisy and Agatha. June isn’t much in the sequel.
As per new book, June has escaped Gilead after she survived many assassination attempts and now is somewhere in Canada. Gilead’s regime hasn’t come to an end, but it has got weaker. Carnival Row Season 2: Plot Details
The first season of the fantasy drama took on two major plotlines. First was the Darlasher Killings that Philo was investigating. The second was the mystery regarding Philo’s origin. The Philo’s mystery turned out to have some connection with Piety Breakspear and the murders. Later on, everyone also came to know that Chancellor Absalom Breakspear is Philo’s father. The half-fae and half-human creature Philo is torn between the two words. He has to hide his true nature to survive.
Later, when Jonah Breakspear takes Philo’s father’s place as the new Chancellor, he declares war on all the nonhumans. So many Carnival Row residents are in what was called the concentration camp in the Burgue. Then Philo comes to know about Vignette being on the other side of the barricade. He declares that he is a critch and joins Vignetter and all the other fae in Carnival Row.
Coming to Carnival Row Season 2, viewers might witness fae’s fight for liberation in the second season of the series. They will fight against Jonah Breakspear and Sophie Longerbane’s new community. In the meantime, the star crossed lovers Agreus Astrayon and Imogen Spurnose will find themselves running with Imogen’s brother Ezra. Amidst the violent altercation, they will have to deal with the aftermath of what happens after the war, the new community and fae are on. Writer Bidwell talks about things they can pursue in Sherlock Season 5. He stated that in Sherlock Holmes’s books, a group of street kids is mentioned. They were the kids who used to help him find clues. So, they could pursue an arc where maybe Sherlock was a drug addict? And the kids were the ones who solved the cases?
Bidwell also stated that Sherlock is his dream project. He has been pitching the idea for the past ten years. He even revealed that Netflix is quite supportive of their vision and are allowing them to be very ambitious with how they want to tell their stories.

In the new deal with Youtube & Sony Pictures, Netflix will get exclusive rights for Cobra Kai Season 3 along with non-exclusive rights for the first two seasons. Netflix competed with Hulu when the news came out that Sony Pictures was looking for a new streaming service for Kobra Kai Season 3. The leading contenders were shortlisted to Netflix and Hulu, but Netflix has a global reach, massive subscriber base, and passion for the material. Hence the deal was signed, and now Netflix is the new home for Cobra Kai Season 3 and more seasons to come.
Why Did YouTube Cancel The Show?
After releasing the second season of the show, YouTube renewed Cobra Kai season 3 in April 2019. However, since sometimes, YouTube has been changing a lot of things. While they were committed to release the third season, the streaming platform notified Sony TV partners that they wouldn’t be able to renew Cobra Kai for a fourth installment. To secure the show’s future beyond the third season, Sony started shopping for an outlet that could order additional episodes of the series.
After the news came out, many streaming giants were keenly interested in the show. It looks like Charlie Brooker, the show’s creator, has no plans to create Black Mirror season 6 at the moment. In an interview with Radio Times, The showrunner says that he isn’t sure if the audience can deal with another season at this very time.
Brooker suggests that with the whole epidemic and the depressing atmosphere, it would be unsuitable for bringing Black Mirror Season 6. Especially now, with so much going on, a series about societies falling apart can really prove harmful.

In the same interview, Brooker revealed that he is busy doing things. He said that he could not talk about what he is doing or what he is not doing, but he is doing something. Members Who Will Be Back In The House
Netflix’s horror series of The Haunting will follow the same pattern as American Horror Story. They will bring back members from the old cast in new seasons in new roles. Many members from the original cast will be coming back for the second season.
Coming back to the franchise is Catherine Parker. Though, her role in the show is not yet revealed. Mike Flanagan announced her return via Twitter. Another actor is Kate Siegel, who we saw in the inaugural installment as Theo, Crane’s sibling. We don’t know what character she will play in The Haunting of Bly Manor, either.

Another Alum is Oliver Jackson Cohen, who will be back for The Haunting of Hill House season 2. He is coming in to play Peter, who is described as a very charming fellow.
Victoria Pedretti is coming back to portray Dani, the governess in the house. As per the traditional story, she will be the one who takes care of the young orphan siblings who are later on possessed by the ghosts.

It is not just the old faces who will make up the whole cast. The new set of actors joining the upcoming season includes T’Nia Miller from Years and Years, Rahul Kolhi from Supergirl, and Amelia Eve. Miller and Eve are set to portray the lead roles in The Haunting of Bly Manor.
No More Crain Family In The Haunting of Hill House Season 2
Talking about The Haunting of Hill House season two, or as called The Haunting of Bly Manor, creator Mike Flanagan has discussed what could be coming up. In an interview with Digital Spy Flanagan stated that in the first season, they got to explore the Shirley Jackson universe. The Turn of The Screw will mostly inspire the second season. He said that they know that the story has been adapted many times before. However, they have used many other Henry James’s ghost stories to fill the gaps in the season.

Flanagan went on to say that even if the viewers know The Turn of the Screw well, there are many surprises in The Haunting of Bly Manor. They have used some ghost stories that haven’t ever been adapted. They all thematically go on well. The creator revealed that it was fun for him to craft the plot for the second season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Flanagan spoke about the idea of an anthology series after the first installment. He said that they had covered the Crain family’s story through and through in the season, and they have left them exactly the way they wanted. So, the creators aren’t planning more of the Crain family in the upcoming season. In the same interview, Flanagan quoted Steve and stated that the show is entirely about haunted places and people, and they have enough of both of it, so there’s a lot of things they can do.
The Haunting of Hill House Season 2: What Could Be Coming up?
Flanagan recently revealed that The Haunting of the Hill House season two would tell a very different story. It will take inspiration from The Turn of the Screw- the classic horror novel by Henry James, but still be very different. The creator revealed that they are looking into Henry James’s ghost stories as the jumping-off point in the season. So, it’s very different.

The Turn of the Screw’s original story features a governess who looks after two small kids is a huge house in a remote part of a town. The house may or may not be possessed by ghosts. As the governess starts inquiring about things she is seeing, she starts thinking if it is paranoia or just her mistrust in a new place. There comes the point when she starts questioning her own sanity.

Talking about their decision to create the storyline, Flanagan revealed that they found it really cook to expand on many things. Just like the things they did in the first season. However, in the second season, they are working on a new story without the restriction of how they curated the story in the first season. Flanagan has promised a little dopamine rush for all the viewers.
Release Date
Everybody knows that The Haunting of Bly Manor is releasing sometime in 2020. But nobody knows exactly when. The creators have not let much information slip out. The inaugural season is released in October, so fans expect Season two to follow the same schedule and release around Halloween.

What’s The Format?
The show- MasterChef Junior follows a format where many children come in to compete against one another while maintaining a healthy environment. The show lets children aged 8-13 years apply for the auditions through call agents or online. The interested kids submit videos of their cooking skills in order to get shortlisted. Out of all the applications, twenty-four kids come in for the audition. They are divided into three groups. Out of the eight groups, four groups get into the competition.
As the competition proceeds, participants are narrowed down. The last kid standing on the show is the winner of MasterChef Junior. The winner wins a $100,000 cash prize and a memorable experience of the competition.
One of the best features of the show is the culinary skills and the dedication all the budding talented kids bring. Honestly, the kids lag nowhere behind than the adults on the parallel MasterChef series. The kids display top-notch cooking and presentation skills.
The kids on the show prepare number of dishes, cuisines, and courses, which include appetizers, mains, and desserts. Their skills and creativity put in an ultimate test in the show. In the fourth season of MasterChef Junior, Christina Tosi came in to judge the show along with Gordon Ramsay. Until now, she has been a part of the show. However, in MasterChef Season 8, that will change. Daphne OZ is coming on board. She will replace Christina Tosi to be on the show, along with Gordon Ramsay and Aarón Sanchez.
Daphne Nur Oz is an American television host and nutrition author. She was one of the hosts on the American daytime talk show- The Chew. The show airs on ABC. Daphne Nur Oz has been a part of the show from 2011-2017. The Chef has even penned down many books over time.
Renewal Status & Release Date
MasterChef Junior initially released in September 2013. Based on the same format as the British Junior MasterChef, the show was renewed in March 2014. The third season of the show was renewed even before the second season released. The second season released in November 2014, followed by the third season in January 2015. The fourth season released later the same year in November 2015. However, the fifth season released a year later in 2017. The sixth season premiered in March 2018.
The seventh season of the show released with a special two-episode season in March 2019. In July 2019, MasterChef Junior Season 8 was green-lit. In a statement on May 11, 2020, the network revealed that the show is set to premiere in fall 2020. However, with the current global pandemic going on, it seems less likely.
