Based on a manga with the same name, the show follows Ava, a teenage girl who comes back to life because of the angel’s halo. What’s The Renewal Status?

The first season of the show released only a few days ago. While everyone is waiting for an official renewal announcement. However, Whats-On-Netflix reveals that they have the news under good authority that Netflix has given the green light for Warrior Nun Season 2. Early renewals have become quite difficult at the streaming giant- Netflix, but with Warrior Nun, it looks like the streaming service has a lot of faith in their originals. 

The series is directly in competition with the show Unsolved Mysteries for the TV series that have gained a spot in multiple regions. Until now, Warrior Nun is topping the spots in New Zealand, Brazil, and the Netherlands. In the USA, India, and the UK, the show has gained the second spot in top lists. We can expect Netflix to announce the show officially in the coming week. 

Warrior Nun Season 2: What Could Come Next?

By the end of the first season of the series, viewers came to know that the Order of the Cruciform Swords’ whole purpose had come to its head. Angel Adriel, who brought in the halo to the team, wasn’t an angel but a devil who had stolen the halo. He was the one who hid the artifact in the original Warrior Nun and created the Order to fight and protect himself from the wrath of Heaven. 

Adriel might got trapped inside a tomb in Vatican City. However, he successfully broke off by the end. He also made an army of wraith demons. By the end of the first season, Shotgun Mary was overwhelmed by the number of people who were possessed as the nuns went on a face-off with Adriel and his army. 

The way the first season ended set up a new fight for Ava that could be a part of Warrior Nun Season 2. She will have to protect the halo from getting back to Adriel. The first season also opens up a whole lot of new mysteries that Ava will have to solve. In the second season of the series, fans can expect to witness the Order of the Xurciform Sword’s original purpose. 

When Will The Show Release?

Warrior Nun has a lot of VFX work. So, fans will have to wait for longer than they thought. Another contributing factor to this delay is the ongoing pandemic that has delayed all the productions. While we are hoping that the industry would soon get back into productions, it will still be some time before we get Warrior Nun Season 2. The first season of the show took around five months to film, so the second season would take the same. So, if Netflix successfully commences production in 2020, we might get Warrior Nun Season two in the second half of 2021.

Renewal Status & Release Date

Netflix just released the show, Southern Survivor, on July 3, 2020. So, it will be sometime before Netflix would renew it for Southern Survivor Season 2. The streaming giant usually takes a few weeks to analyze the viewership of the series, and after that, it is possible that Netflix would give a green light for a second season.

As for when the show would release, the show isn’t renewed yet. So it is quite difficult to predict when Southern Survival Season 2 would release. Along with many scenes of the show are shot outdoors, and with the ongoing pandemic, the outdoor shoot is one of the most challenging things in production. Therefore we can expect Southern Survival to release in the second half of 2021 or maybe even later. 

What Has Happened So Far?

In the first season of Southern Survival, viewers got to see all the crew members tackling problems dependent on a particular theme. The first season saw one major theme fire. A crew member- Brandon Currin, goes on and faces these challenges. In one episode, they find a matchstick that cannot be extinguished by anything. They also find a fireproof fabric.

Shooter Season 4: Why Was It Cancelled?

Shooter did not do very well on the critics’ rating. The series could only bag 47% rotten tomatoes and got titled as approval rating with an average rating- 5.75/10. Critics have called the series a tedious and under-developed drama with a missing original voice or perspective. But that wasn’t the whole reason for cancellation. A report revealed that Shooter was the lowest-rated series on the network. So, that could have been a contributing factor too.

But then, nothing about that was announced later. Fans were hoping that Netflix would pick up Shooter after the third season. Everyone is looking up to Netflix to pick up the show and keep Bob Lee’s story alive. Netflix has not spoken anything about the possible take over yet. Bob’s means to live by using the gun, and that wasn’t something everyone would like.

Ben Edlund’s superhero series- The Tick Season 3 was canceled almost a year ago. Why Though? The Tick was a monster superhero newsletter by cartoonist Ben Edlund in 1986; the series became so popular that it came out as an independent comic book series in 1988. Before 2016, the show was adapted into animated series in 1994, and a live-action movie in 2001. In 2016, Amazon brought the comic series alive with a tv-show The Tick. 

The series follows a very invulnerable superhero who fights the crimes and wears a blue tick suit. He doesn’t have any memories of his life before he was a superhero and all the versions of characters he has. The original comic series tells that he is apparently legally insane and has run away from a mental institute. The show did not say anything about this. The Tick follows a parody of superheroes, which was appreciated widely by the fans. After two seasons, what is up with The Tick Season 3? Here are all the details- 

The Tick Season 3: What’s The Status? 

The first season of the series- The Tick was divided into three parts. The pilot released in August 2016, then the second part- ‘a half-season’ with five episodes released next year in August 2017. The final batch of episodes from the first season released in February 2018. After the first season concluded, Amazon gave a piece of good news to all The Tick fans by ordering the second season of the series. The second season then premiered on April 5, 2019. While fans were hoping for more, the hope died when six weeks later, Amazon canceled the show and did not order The Tick Season 3. 

Cancellation: Why Did It Happen?

While Amazon did not reveal the exact reason to cancel the show, but it most likely is related to viewership. Like most of the streaming services, Amazon doesn’t release their rating figures to the public, but keeping in mind the reception The Tick bagged, all fingers point towards the viewing figures. While the first season of the show bagged 90% Rotten Tomatoes, the second season bagged a whopping 100% Rotten Tomatoes. All reviews called the show, likable, realistic, humorous, and full of action. 

Although the series had successfully built a loyal fanbase, it was not as big as Amazon needed to commission another season. If ratings did not meet a specific number, a series would get the ax. The show was in all called a refreshing take on all the superheroes after productions Marvel and DC who take their superheroes very seriously. 

Is Renewal Possible In The Future?

After the cancellation news landed, everybody started hoping that the creators would be able to find a new home for the show. However, the creator- Ben Edlund, took on to his twitter to reveal that he tried his best to find a new home for the show, but he was unsuccessful. And then after that, all actors’ contracts expired soon after, officially putting an end on the show. Even after that, Edlund kept on giving all fans hope that he would be reviving the show. He kept on saying that they will be looking for other opportunities for the Tick and company. But then everyone knew that the show has come to an end. For now, the show isn’t coming back, but maybe sometime later, the creators would be able to find a new home and bring back the show. 

Aggretsuko Season 3: Over the past few years, Netflix has brought in several animated comedies on the table that have captured the essence of weird, tough yet wonderful adulthood amazingly. Aggretsuko Season 3: Renewal & Release Date

The original anime series- Aggretsuko first released on Netflix in April 2018. Then the second season of the show released later next year in June 2019. While everybody loved the show and wanted more, Netflix renewed the Aggretsuko Season 3 in August the same year. Since the show is renewed, we are sure that it is coming.

However, Netflix has not announced anything regarding the release date yet. Keeping in mind the previous release dates, we can expect Aggretsuko Season 3 to release some time in August 2020. When Aggretsuko released on the streaming giant, the show bagged critical acclaim in America. The first season received a whopping 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. The critics called the show, uniquely bleak for Sanrio property. They also called the show balancing and biting corporate satire with very nice character and absurdist comedy that successfully created a surprising and insightful addition to the universe of animation. The show is well praised for its portrayal of the Japanese workplace and the pressure a young age woman in the workforce faces. The second season of the series also generally bagged positive reviews and bagged 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Jurassic World 3: Dominion, the third movie in the Jurassic World franchise, is all set to get back to the productions. It will be the first Hollywood movie to return to action in a pre-vaccine coronavirus hit era. In a recent video interview with Entertainment Weekly, Star Bryce Dallas Howard discussed about returning to the sets. He promised that the studio they are going to work in is going above and beyond all measures to make sure that it is safe. 

In the interview, Howard said that they have had a lot of communication. They are ensuring that there is maximum safety on the sets. He continued to say that they wouldn’t return if they did not feel safe in doing that. They are taking one step at a time. Howard said that he is grateful to have a job at this time. 

The actor went on to reveal that what he feels very right about this is that they are having conversations; they are communicating daily. All actors are talking to all the crew members and constantly asking and discussing how they will do the movie safely. Nobody is compromising or undermining anyone’s health. 

Jurassic Park 3: Dominion Release Date

Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the movie had to pause the productions in March due to the spread of COVID-19. Now things have slowly started getting back on track. Many organizations are making different strategies that could help them restart filming safely. Recently, Hollywood guilds released a report that stated the guidelines for how to start production. 

By mid-June, Pinewood studios confirmed that they would start productions by July 6 for Jurassic World 3: Dominion. They are spending about 5 million dollars for additional safety measures. Now that the movie is getting back in productions, it looks like producers will be able to fulfill their promise of releasing the movie on June 11, 2021.

If things go as planned, the movie will release by then, if delayed, the movie will be delayed for another year. With time, and as productions begin, more details about the movie will keep emerging. All the anime fans, here’s a piece of good news for you. Netflix is bringing the Cyberpunk 2077 anime series. The series will be called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. CD Projekt Red is working on the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. It is an adaptation of the Cyberpunk franchise since 2012. For a while, the creators took a break and focus on The Witcher Season 3: Wild Hunt instead. Now they have come back into the futuristic title.  

Cyberpunk 2077 will be the starting point for a new franchise for the studio. It will be so much like The Witcher trilogy, which was also adapted from a series of novels. Dark Horse will release a comic book series- Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team in September 2020. Later on, CMON will release a card game- Cyberpunk 2077-Afterlife: The Card Game. The latest Cyberpunk game, Cyberpunk Red, will come before the game is launched, and then it won’t only be the sequel to Cyberpunk 2020 but also will act as the prequel to Cyberpunk 2077 which will be set in 2045. Now with the announcement Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, fans are more than excited for the show. Not many details are out about it but here is everything we know- 

What Could Happen?

The new Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will feature ten episodes in the season. The limited series will be a part of the same universe as Cyberpunk 2077. However, the show will not adapt to the video game. Instead, the show will be a standalone story. It will move in the backdrop of Night City but with a very different focus. Both the aesthetic and set will generally be new and new characters will join the show too. The show is envisioned to act as the entrance to Cyberpunk 2077 and to the whole Cyberworld overall. 

The synopsis for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners reveals that this anime will be the story of a street kid trying to survive in the world with technology and in a city obsessed with body modification. He has a lot to lose but still chooses to remain alive by becoming an edge runner, a mercenary outlaw who will also be known as cyberpunk. The show will follow the same concept as that of the game. 

When Will Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Release?

In the video where Netflix, CD Projekt Red, Studio Trigger announced Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, they confirmed that the show would release sometime in 2022. However, they did not confirm anything about the specific date or time frame. Meanwhile, it is great news for fans that they at least know when they could expect something. Studio Trigger is very prompt putting their announcements into actions, so considering that they had announced Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in 2020, they would start productions soon and release the show in the first half of 2022.
