He met Lee Hwi moments later, who suggested bringing Yeong-Su back to keep the scholars under check. Lord Sangheon sent a letter in which Lee Hwi sent a secret message.

Thus, Yeong-Su returned to the palace and confronted Lee Hwi. That’s when Lee Hwi told her that she needed to stop Lord Sangheon from tightening his grasp over the royal palace. He assigned her the task to investigate the illegal activities of the Minister of Taxation as the new Inspector General.

Lee Hwi initiated her plan to take Lord Sangheon down by raiding the Minister of Taxation, Hyeong-Seol. Yeong-Su found stolen rice at his place. After that, lee Hwi came in and gave him two choices. Either run away from here until Lord Sangheon tracks and kills him or tell them about the guild that supplies Lord Sangheon with the weapons. The King’s Affection is nearing the end, with the penultimate episode coming up next. The biggest focal point of the upcoming episode will be Seok-Jo finding out about Lee Hwi’s real identity. He will be caught up with the dilemma between protecting his son Ji-Woon and honoring his loyalty to Lord Sangheon. It might also be possible that he would decide to kill Lee Hwi and jeopardize himself in an attempt to save Hi Woon.

Meanwhile, in The King’s Affection Ep 15, Lee Hwi will continue her attempt to take down lord Sangheon. Yoon and her will have to find a way to neutralize Sangheon’s army. They will also look for the servant’s wife, who had escaped the palace. If they find the wife, they will give leverage against Sangheon. Meanwhile, Lord Sangheon might come across Lee Hwi’s truth in the upcoming episode.

A Quick Recap!

The previous episode began with Ji-Woon requesting his father to help him get a position closer to Lee Hwi. Seok-Jo was reluctant as he advised his son to stay away from the palace, as a right decision at the palace may not always be the right answer. After much convincing from Ji- Woon, Seok-Jo assured him that he will talk to Lord Sangheon about it.

Further, in The King’s Affection Ep 14, Seok-Jo met Lord Sangheon and held him against a promise he made to Seok when he decided to join him. In the name of his family, Lord Sangheon offered the position of Lee Hwi’s messenger. Ji-Woon accepted the position and did his job to avoid getting suspected.

Meanwhile, his fellow soldiers appealed the impeachment of Lord Sangheon, but Ji-Woon chose not to interfere in the matter. Being close to Lee Hwi as her messenger, Ji-Woon secretly tends to her wounds. 

Lee Hwi Reveals The big Secret To The Queen!

Lord Sangheon was impatient about getting an heir. So, he forced Lee Hwi to spend a night with the Queen. Meanwhile, he jailed or banished everyone else, so Lee Hwi could not resist. During the night, Lee Hwi told her secret to the Queen and made her promise not to tell it to anyone. The Queen was shocked, with tears dropping off her eyes. However, she assured Lee Hwi to stay quiet. 

Meanwhile, in The King’s Affection Ep 14, Lee Hwi had a secret meeting with Commander Yoon. She told him about Lord Sangheon’s private army and the poising of the King. Lee Hwi ordered Yoon to look for the servant’s wife, who ran away after her husband killed himself.

The servant was the one who poisoned the King’s herbal tonic. After the meeting, Yoon ran into Seok-Jo. He questioned Yoon’s presence at the quarters when he was posted in the countryside. Yoon also questioned Seok-Jo supporting the wrong side. However, Seok told him that it was the right thing for him.

Seok-Finds Out Lee Hwi’s Secret!

Meanwhile, Seok noticed acupuncture marks on Lee Hwi’s neck. He was suspicious and confirmed the royal doctor for his advice about controlling one’s pulse. The royal doctor acknowledged his theory. Then, with more assurance, Seok-Jo tried to keep an eye on Lee Hwi’s activities.

Further, Lee Hwi went out in the middle of the night to clear her mind at the garden. Hi-Woon kept an eye on her and lit the lamps for her. They walked together and eventually ended up kissing each other. However, Seok-Jo was also hiding and watching everything. His son kissing Lee Hwi took him into the past when he was ordered to kill Da-Mi. Realizing the truth, he gripped his sword harder at the end of The King’s Affection Ep 14.

KBS2 will air The King’s Affection Ep 14 on November 29, 2021. The network airs two new episodes weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET. Is Grand Army Season 2 Renewed By Netflix?

Netflix has not confirmed the series for Grand Army Season 2. Instead, the streaming giant decided to cancel the series in June 2021. The decisions came following a controversy involving the show’s creator Katie Cappiello. She was accused by the show’s writers, including Ming Peiffer and the other two creatives of color. Ming took to Twitter, revealing she and other writers quit the series following racist exploitation and abuse by the show’s creator Katie. The tweet came on the day of the teaser release of Grand Army Season 1. 

Moreover, the series has not been able to fulfill Netflix’s viewership expectations. Thus, not being able to see a profitable future, the series has been canceled. Although, it is still available on Netflix. Therefore, if the series somehow gets famous overnight and viewership starts to rise, we can expect to series’ return for Grand Army Season 2 in the future.

What Could Have Happened In Grand Army Season 2?

The first season concluded with several nervous questioned unanswered. Thus, the plotline was beautifully set for the second season. But, unfortunately, a disappointing turn of events has forced Netflix to cancel the series.

The previous season focused on Joey getting raped by his best friends, Luke and George. Tim was the only one who witnessed the incident. But, unfortunately, he chose to transfer schools instead of bringing Joey to justice. Thus, if Grand Army Season 2 returns, Tim’s struggle with the truth and his journey to get Luke and George apprehended could portray in the plotline.

Meanwhile, Owen missed the opportunity of performing a saxophone solo at the Lincoln center after being involved in a prank. Jayson replaced him for the event. However, he chose to stand with Owen by taping his mouth and raising his fist into a black power salute. In season 2, Jayson could face the dire consequences of his action. Moreover, more people could come in Owen’s support after Jayson’s gesture. Thus, the whole incident could start a whole new movement against racism.

Leila & Dominique’s Career At Stake While Sid’s Sexuality Could be In Focus

Moreover, Leila was also a part of fake bombing threats. She cheated on Omar with George. Also, she hypocritically took a stand for Joey but turned out to be a racist in the end. News about her involvement in the bombing incident could get her expelled in Grand Army Season 2. Meanwhile, Sid’s sexuality could be an important issue that could explore in the next season. Towards the end of the first season, his sister’s ex-boyfriend ratted Sid about being gay. Moreover, Sid’s romance with Victor could become a focal point in the next installment.
