It is set in Berlin when the Weimar Republic started in 1929. The series follows Gereon Rath (Volker Bruch), a police inspector and former combat expert of the Imperial German Army. He’s freshly transferred to Berlin, where he’s in a secret mission to destroy an extortion ring. But, he struggles with PTSD related to his brother’s loss and war experience. During his mission, his PTSD triggers many times while solving his case.

Renewal Status & Release Date

Netflix only serves as the international broadcast partner of the series. So, it’s not in Netflix’s hands to renew the series for its fourth season. However, according to German magazine Qiez, Sky ordered Babylon Berlin Season 4 batch alongside its third season. Further, the series creator Hendrik also confirmed that the fourth season is on its way. However, they are currently working on their script. The series creators are expecting to return till 2021. Hendrik said: “We hope if everything goes well to reshoot next year.”

Babylon Berlin Season 4: What Will Happen?

In an interview, Hendrik revealed that the upcoming season would see Charlotte Ritter (Liv Lisa Fries) more in action. Since it’s the best time to highlight her character after what happened in the previous season. They wanted the women’s perspective, that’s why two new female writers joined their writing team. He said: “We thought it was time for a bit of change. And we are faster, and we wanted the female input.”

Based On Volker Kutscher’s Third Novel

Hendrik revealed that the upcoming season would depict the events in Volker’s third novel, Goldstein, set in 1931. It follows Ruth dealing with an American gangster named Abraham Goldstein. Later, Ruth indulged in a street war with Goldstein while taking Goldstein in his custody. The novel also portrayed many events that occurred in the growing reign of Nazism.

However, Hendrik cleared that they are not going to portray everything written in the book. They are clear about where they have to take for the upcoming chapter. He said they wouldn’t go beyond 1933, though the book is far beyond that time. Still, some of the characters might continue their journey beyond 1933. But, they don’t want to portray everything.

Will There Be Babylon Berlin Season 5?

Hendrik also said they only know the story would conclude in the 1933 period. But, how many seasons it would take to portray that event is still unclear. He said his co-writers already foreseen the end journey, but they are currently writing the script. So, it could be two or more than that.

Endeavour Season 8 has been renewed long back when its seventh season’s filming began. However, the seventh season has time to air on ITV. But, it’s unclear when the filming for its eighth season would begin. The production is on pause, and the team hasn’t confirmed when they would resume. However, the chaotic fight between the Endeavour Morse (Shaun Evans) and his former mentor Fred Thursday (Roger Allam) could lead to a dramatic ending of this pair. In an interview, the series writer and creator Russell Lewis stated that the delay in production might cause the timeline issue in the upcoming season. But, he’s still positive that the narrative would cope with the writing team’s idea. He said that the story would follow 1971 events. However, currently, everything is in the planning stage. But, they are hoping to maintain their 50 years time gap from now.

The network already confirmed that Endeavour Season 8 is on its horizon. The announcement came before the seventh season began filming. However, it’s unclear when the eight season filming would start. The series mostly gained positive responses from the critics. However, some critics commented that sometimes, the series fizzled out to explain the murder-mystery and eventually concluded it in a melodramatic way. In an interview, Jim stated: “Whether it was because of Big Bang or not, and time schedules and stuff. It had never come up”. Jim further revealed that he is ready if someday Ryan comes up and offers a role in American Horror Story.

A Big Surprise Waiting For Jim

Further, he discussed the significant projects he had recently worked with Ryan Murphy, including Natural Heart and The Boys, which is produced by Ryan. However, Jim never knew that one day Ryan would offer him such a unique role in his horror series, Hollywood. He said he was amazed when Ryan offered him the show. He said: “I was so pleasantly surprised when he (Ryan) came to ask (regarding Hollywood), and why I felt myself jump at it. It felt like a gift, and that’s exactly what the experience turned into. In late January, The CW has renewed Black Lightning Season 4, and its fellow superhero shows based on DC Comics. On average, 1.09 million viewers have watched Black Lightning till now. According to the 17-century colonial Colombia rules, she is sentenced to death by burning at stake. While waiting for her punishment, she made a deal with Aldemar (Luis Fernando Hoyos), an immortal and powerful wizard. Aldemar sends Carmen in 2019 by time-traveling in the future where nobody believes in witches and witchcraft. But in return, Carmen can’t use her magic there.

Always A Witch Season 3: Renewal Status!

On February 28, 2020, Always A Witch Season 2 aired on Netflix. However, the series has collected mixed reviews from the critics. Many praised the concept and having a strong black female lead character in the series. Meanwhile, some have criticized the romance between slave and slave master, including the lead actress keenness to return as a slave in the 17-century. However, when he realized her persona is changed and everyone supports her there, he started asking to return in their time where everything was more comfortable. Will Carmen returns with Cristobol to reunite their love? Or will she select the freedom she’s having now?

The Walking Dead Season 10 finale episode postponed due to the ongoing pandemic. Initially, season 10 consisted of 16 episodes. But, due to hold on production, its finale episode is not filmed yet. However, Will’s unsuccessful attempts made Jack appoint Dr. Hannibal to supervise him in his mission. Initially, Hannibal tries to misguide him to hide his cannibal identity. However, the bond they build made him take some strong actions.

Hannibal Season 4: Showrunner Hoping To Return

In May, Netflix brought the award-winning psychological thriller drama series back. Hannibal was one of the critically-acclaimed series, which had won many awards for its outstanding execution and performance. But, because of its declining viewership, NBC decided to wrap up the show.

However, the show creator Bryan didn’t wanted it to end like this. In these five years, he was trying to bring the series back. Many campaigns were also started, but nothing fruitful had happened. However, Netflix’s recent action declared that it was worth waiting.

In an interview, Fuller expressed his excitement for the fourth season. He even spoke with his team members about the fourth season’s storyline. Fuller already got the rights of Silence of the Lamb novel but never got a chance to portray it. However, he expressed that he would try his best in the upcoming season, if the entire cast is ready to come back.

Fuller said: “The great thing about the ideas that I shared with members of the cast in terms of where we’re going is that if it takes five years if everyone is interested in coming back. That’s just how long they’ve been on the lam. And the story will pick up from there, and we’ll adapt.”

Recently Fuller confirmed that the series would explore Hannibal’s love for Will. Though Will Graham is a heterosexual in the series, yet Hannibal’s control over him is something he couldn’t resist. Further, Hannibal Lecter is confirmed as pansexual. However, they want to try some way to represent their story in a unique and different style.

The creator revealed that the writing team is ready to adapt the story from Silence of the Lamb, which they wanted for so long to do. But, how they will showcase the story is quite challenging. Since in the last season finale Will and Hannibal jump of the cliff. So, now what happens next is quite interesting to watch.

Fuller stated: “I think Will Graham is a heterosexual character, but sexuality is fluid. I think it would have to be a conversation where we would sit down and try to find the most authentic expression of their relationship now.”

He added: “Because of the nature of what would be happening in season 4. In terms of the grander manipulations that Hannibal has on Will’s mind. I don’t think Hannibal would want to have sex with Will. If Will wasn’t in his right mind. And Will won’t be in his right mind in season 4.”

Recently, Snowpiercer’s first season wrapped up on TNT. However, the streamer had already greenlit Snowpiercer Season 2 before its first season ended. The show depicts the passengers’ struggle with social disputes and injustice followed by the millionaire Mr. Wilford’s strange disappearance. Fans can expect to have that resolved in Snowpiercer Season 2. Also, the teaser for the next run is out, hinting the plenty of story arcs it will follow in the next chapter. Moreover, so many faces will unravel in the upcoming season. <

Snowpiercer, developed by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson, is a post-apocalyptic thriller drama series on TNT. It’s based on Le Transperceneige 1982 French graphic novel. Later, in 2013, a South Korean-Czech film created that’s based on the book. The series is a continued part of the movie set seven years after the entire world becomes frozen. And a massive passenger train travels around the globe carrying survival humans. The train consists of 1001 freight that only travels once in a year. However, the train is firmly divided by class and social hierarchy that passengers have to follow. Throughout the show, the passengers fight for injustice and limited resources.

Snowpiercer Season 2: When To Expect?

The show is one of the most-watched series during this pandemic. Snowpiercer Season 2 got early renewed before its first season wrapped up on the network. Although, the production is on hold due to the current health condition. But, the good news is Snowpiercer Season 2 filming was almost completed before the production halted. In an interview, the series star Lena Hall revealed that only the last two episodes were left to shoot, which is a good sign.

In an interview, Annalise Basso also confirmed that the majority of filming was completed. And the best part of the series is it not only revolved on one character, but there are also plenty of stories of the survivors that the upcoming season would depict. She said: “I’m excited because we were finishing season 2 when everything got shut down because of the pandemic. The great thing about Snowpiercer is there are so many stories to represent the people on the train and survival.”

Though the filming part for the second season is almost done, the network is still pretty tight-lipped about its premiere. The fans are hoping to return the show as soon as possible to pull down the curtains.

Who Will Return?

Of course, the main cast is all set, reprising their roles in second season. Daveed Diggs and Jennifer Connolly will be back as Andre Layton and Melanie Cavill, respectively. The other members who are joining them include Alison Wright as Lilah Anderson and Annalise Basso as Lilah “LJ” Folger Jr. Along with Mickey Sumner as Bess Francis Till, Lenna Hall as, and Susan Park as Jinju Seong, Mike O’Malley as Roche, and Iddo Goldberg as Bennett Knox, Sheila Vand as Zarah Ferami, Jaylin Fletcher as Miles, and Sam Otto as John Osweiller are also joining the show.

Meanwhile, Steven Ogg, as Pike and Rowan Blanchard as Alexandra, are promoted to series regular. Further, a couple of survivors will also join the second run. These are Sakina Jaffrey and Damian Young as Mr. and Mrs. Headwood. This time, Tom Lipinski would portray a new character named, Kevin. Finally, the curtain will be drawn from Mr. Wilford’s mysterious millionaire character. The new teaser revealed that Sean Bean would join the show as Mr. Wilford.
