Killjoys Season 6: Will It Ever Return?

Back in 2017, when the creators renewed the show for its fourth and fifth season, they also announced that the fifth installment would serve as the final season of the series. At that time, the fans believed that the creators would take their decision back after some time because they can stretch the story of the show as long as they want. However, Syfy decided to stick with its decision to end the series with its fifth season resulting in the cancellation of Killjoys Season 6. It’s been nine months, and no other network came forward to pick up the series for the following season. So, it’s better to believe that the show will not return.

Why It Won’t Likely To Return?

The main reason behind the cancellation of the show is a huge drop in viewership of the later seasons. The final season of the series averaged under a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and barely managed to get over 300,000 total live viewers. Both of these figures are less than 25% off from the average values for the fourth season. And the fourth season saw the downfall in 30% of their average viewers compared to the third season. Therefore the creators had to cancel Killjoys Season 6, or else the new season would have also witnessed a massive drop. Syfy announced the end of the series two years before the concluding season so that they can give the necessary time to writers for the proper ending of the show.

Crossing Swords, created by Tom Root and John Harvatine IV, is an adult animated stop-motion comedy series on Hulu. It follows the story of a goodhearted peasant Patrick. He lands a coveted squire situation at the royal castle where his dream job turned into a nightmare. There he discovered that his beloved kingdom is operated by a hornet’s nest of the horny emperor, swindler, and crooks. Unfortunately, Patrick’s boldness made him the black sheep in his family. Now, his fugitive siblings are back to make his life more miserable. The series follows war, blood, and full-frontal nudity.

Renewed For Next Season

Hulu has renewed its stop-motion animated series Crossing Swords for the next season. Crossing Swords Season 2 got renewed soon after its first season wrapped up on Hulu. The first season consists of ten episodes, which premiered on June 12. However, Hulu doesn’t reveal Crossing Swords’ viewership yet. It’s pretty clear that the show hit the streaming platform well, which made them renewed it so early.

As per IMDb, Crossing Swords got 6.6 ratings. Wherein on IGN.com, the series earned 3 out of 10. And on Rotten Tomatoes, the earned 18% ratings from the audience. However, the overall ratings Crossing Swords received is 87%. As of now, the animation series is easy to create than filming live-action. Although, production started from June 12 by following all the health-protocol. But, an animated series can be created remotely. So, it can be one of the reasons that Hulu started streaming more and more animated series to increase its ratings.

Crossing Swords Season 2: What Will Happen?

Hulu released a short teaser to celebrate the renewal of the second season. It’s quite clear that everything is now turning into its extreme level in the upcoming season. When the king says “welcome to the next level” while ordering its army for a new battle. You can see Patrick saying, “I’m freaking out,” and everyone is getting for the next faceoff with dragons and more. In the second installment of the show, John’s father orders more extreme measures to keep things going. In Patriot Season 2, they go on to assassinate the pro-nuclear candidate in a heavily guarded space in Paris. The plot was very interesting and easily grabbed everyone’s attention. Patriot’s Critical Reception

The first season of the show bagged really great reviews from viewers and critics alike. Rotten Tomatoes reviewed the show with 91% ratings based on 27 reviews. The website tagged the show as dark, quirky, and funny. The series is savvy and enough to watch. A critic from Metacritic assigned the show a score of 68 out of 100 and called it a favorable review. 

The second season bagged positive reviews too. Rotten tomatoes graded the show will a 100% approval with an average rating of 6.42. Metacritic scored it as 80 out of 100. They seemed to be really great reviews, but the show got canceled, and now there’s nothing we can do about it. The Cornish period drama- Poldark concluded with the fifth season of the show in July 2019. However, many viewers have been asking about the future and if they would get more of the show. Instead, it took on the books of the series that covered the 11 years between the seventh and the eighth novels, The Angry Tide and The Stranger from the Sea.

But he has not yet revealed how Ross achieved the transformation. Horsfield went on to say that the storyline they used was just a starting point for them. It was just a roadmap to navigate through season 5.

Andrew, Winston Graham’s son, continued to endorse his father’s methodology, he kept looking at the historical context. Andrew even used it to drive real people and events. The fifth season did not complete the adaption of all the Poldark novels. This means that there’s more scope that can be covered in further seasons if the BBC wants to continue the series—the last season covered book seven and a little bit between before that.
