NBC’s signature series The Blacklist is set for the eighth season. The network co-presidents of scripted drama congratulated creators for their amazing creativity in the finale episode of the seventh season. However, NBC is yet to renew The Blacklist Season 8 officially. The showrunner further teased that the upcoming season could witness significant changes in the plot. However, the rescripting of The Blacklist Season 8 is still on works. Thus, we can expect it to premiere later this year.

The Blacklist, created by Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath is a crime thriller television series of NBC. It follows the story of Raymond Redington (James Spader), known as Red, a former U.S. Navy officer who had disappeared twenty years ago. He later turned into a high-profile criminal whom the FBI was searching for. Red surrenders himself to Harold Cooper FBI Assistant Director and claims to inform the details of deadly criminals and terrorists of global criminals. He barters his knowledge in exchange for freedom from prosecution and handling cases with rookie officer Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone). Though Cooper and Keen are doubtful of Red’s interest in her. But, they agreed to Red’s proposal in order to find the criminals and terrorists.

The Blacklist Season 8: Did NBC Renew The Show?

The Blacklist never fails to thrill its fans with some significant plot twist. Like the same way, it did in the seventh season finale. In which they brought an animated episode to conclude the seventh season. NBC’s co-presidents of scripted drama Tracey Pakosta and Lisa Katz stated that The Blacklist is the signature series of NBC. Both of them congratulated the crew members for their witty thinking of portraying animated finale episode. Katz and Pakosta said: “Congratulations to our incredible cast, crew, and producers. All of whom continue to reach perfection week in and week out.”

Kartz and Pakosta added: “We couldn’t be more excited to continue Red and Liz’s story into season eight.” It’s quite a good indication that The Blacklist Season 8 is on its way. Sony Pictures Television co-president Chris Parnell appreciated executive producers (Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath). For “exciting and imaginative stories” as well as “unique creativity.” Parnell stated: “Wait until you see what’s in store for season eight.” However, NBC has yet to renew The Blacklist Season 8 officially.

It Won’t Continue From Season 7 Finale Ending

John added: “In the script, the villain throws some papers up under the helicopter’s rotor blades. And we were briefed we would have to rewrite that, for safety reasons. Well, since no one was driving the helicopter in animation. We were able to throw the papers up. And it looks amazing”. He further added: “It’s not completely different structures-wise. We did speed up certain elements to build a better forward throw into season eight. To create a little more of a thriller. I think we believed that we had more time to rework.”

The long wait for Wentworth Season 8 is over now. Recently, Foxtel released the new trailer centered on Sheila Bausch’s (Marta Dusseldorp) prison life. Also, Wentworth Season 9, is preparing to premiere later this year. Since the production began and also the filming for Wentworth Season 8 completed. The showrunners are all set to start their filming for Wentworth Season 9, which would contain more drama and prison rivalry in the upcoming season. Wentworth, created by Lara Radulovich, David Hannam, and Reg Watson, is an Australian prison drama series of Foxtel. The first four series centered on Bea Smith’s (Danielle Cormack) early day in prison and her consequent hike to the top of the prison’s hierarchy. Bea Smith sent to Wentworth after attempting murder of her husband. There she learned how to survive in prison. However, from the fifth season, it shifted to an ensemble format. The entire series has received many positive responses from critics. Even the first season was the highest binged show on Foxtel’s history.

Wentworth Season 8: Marta Dusseldorp Joining The Show

Australian actress Marta Dusseldorp will play Sheila Bausch’s character in Westworth Season 8. A senior figure in the cult finds herself indulging in the group when something terrible happens there. Dusseldorp, in an interview, explained her character’s strength. She said: “Sheila helps people believe what she wants them to believe. She’s an excellent manipulator. Sheila knows how to be devoted, and she knows how to try and encourage devotion. So she has these other traits to her that isn’t about muscle.”

Dusseldorp added: “Shelia has brain and heart. She’s even more dangerous, I think.” However, Dusseldorp’s character’s eternal belief in power is also troublesome. But, Dusseldorp stated: “Sheila isn’t afraid for her life, and she should be!” She added: “Sheila gets consumed by the captivity of this place (prison) and the people there (just like the other characters).”

When Dusseldorp was asked how she felt when she got offered for the show, she said: “I was just so honored and excited to join it. I said yes, straight away. I vote for the Logies and AACTAs so that I would watch it every season. The integrity of the performances, the cohesion of the story, and the cast as a group always knock out. It never even falters.”

Marta Dusseldorp Ready For High Stakes

Marta is famous for A Place to Call Home’s show, which is quite different from Wentworth. So, when she asked how she will handle Sheila’s role, who killed nine people and went to Wentworth, which was different from what she used to portray. Dusseldorp replied: “There’s this fabulous cast (and characters they played) are working through life and death. So in a way, it’s the same- that heightened, big stakes, melodrama. So I feel very relaxed playing those high stakes.”

The show set in Washington D.C. follows Congressman Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) stories. Frank is a democrat from House Majority Whip and South Carolina’s fifth congressional district. He has attained the designation of Secretary of State and initiates to elaborate his power with the help of Claire. The entire series deals with ruthless pride, manipulation, power, and betrayal.

House Of Cards Season 7: Is It The End Of House Of Cards?

Netflix is famous for picking up shows after cancelation, such as Lucifer, as Netflix values the quality of content. Even Netflix itself revived the shows that were on the verge of cancelation, such as Black Mirror. But, this time, the case is quite different, as Netflix is unlikely to renew House Of Cards for the seventh season. After sexual assault allegations, Spacey got removed from the show. That made writers to create his on-screen death story, which is well strategically planned as Frank was the former president. So, he can’t die any natural death. However, in the season finale, Claire found that Dough poisoned Frank. But, the cliffhanger ending of Claire left the audience wondering what happens with her?

In an interview, James Gibson explained: “Claire essentially weaponizing motherhood in a rather cruel way. And then the big surprise is that she doesn’t feel what she expects to feel. It’s much complicated”. Further, Kelly explained: “I think a lot of audiences will wonder, is Janine going to get Claire? And I think you can say that Claire’s not done yet”. Perhaps there’s some hope that House Of Cards Season 7 would return. But, where it would land is still a mystery.

As per Netflix, Lucifer Season 6 would be the final season of the drama series. After facing cancellation, Lucifer’s strong fanbase started a campaign to rescue their favorite fantasy series. It centered on Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), a mighty angel who has been banished from heaven for betrayal. But, as the Devil, he got bored from his throne of Lord of Hell for millennia. So he abandoned hell and resigned from his throne, and started his nightclub named Lux in Los Angeles. Later he helped Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) solve the murder case and become a consultant to the LAPD. However, throughout the series, he faced many demonic and celestial threats.

Did Netflix Renewed The Show For Sixth Season?

The long wait for Lucifer is over now. Earlier this year, Netflix spoke with Lucifer producer Warner Bros TV, regarding another chapter of the fantasy drama series. The Sinner Season 4: Renewed By USA Network

USA Network greenlit The Sinner for its fourth season. This February, season 3 aired at USA Network. And now the mystery drama show is all set to return for the fourth season. However, the third season of this anthology is yet to stream on Netflix. This time the USA Network mainly focused on picking up the unscripted or live series. But the renewal of The Sinner Season 4 is just a part of their current programming, consisting shows such as anthology and the unscripted series.

The programming strategy has been adapted to achieve momentum amongst its primary cable networks. Since the premium scripted series are struggling more in maintaining their ratings on those cable networks. The network canceled many ongoing scripted series, to follow its current programming module, based on the linear ad-supported cable business model.

The Sinner Season 3 will stream on June 19 on Netflix. As per Netflix programming guidelines, the streaming platform waits for a couple of months to decide the show’s future. Recently, AMC Networks, via a press release, announced that it ordered a new bundle of scripts for Creepshow. It’s a pretty good implication that Creepshow Season 3 is on its way. The news came up soon after the horror and supernatural first season wrapped up on AMC’s streaming service, Shudder. However, season 2 is yet to film. Due to the global pandemic, the production halted, which was supposed to start in March in Atlanta. Now, it’s ultimate AMC Network’s faith on Creepshow that greenlit the spooky series for the third installment. However, Creepshow Season 3 renewal is not officially announced yet.

Creepshow, executed by Greg Nicotero, is a horror anthology series of Shudder. The series based on 1982 movie features vignettes that delve murder, terror, the supernatural, and all the unexplainable things around them. It follows the spooky stories that Creep tells the audience, adapted from Creepshow comic book. The Creep is a puppet that sends gags through nonverbal clues or laughter. Lately, in January 2019, it announced that the story would be adapted from Stephen King’s short story “Survivor Type” from his Skeleton Crew’s 1985 collection. However, it wasn’t used in the first season. So, maybe it could be a part of another installment.

Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager, explained the early renewal (which is not officially announced yet) of Creepshow Season 3. According to him, the new batch script order is a contingency plan to use this time effectively. Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, is a teen-drama television series of HBO. It’s loosely adapted from Israeli miniseries of the same name. The series centered on a group of high school students, who deal with everything happening in their life, from friendship to admire, drugs, identity, trauma, and sex. Euphoria got a positive response from critics for its storytelling, visuals, acting, and portraying mature matter.

Euphoria Season 2: When To Expect?

Euphoria got positive reviews from critics, and it was the highly binged teen show on HBO. The show reached 5.5 million views per episode, including replay. Well, that’s why HBO gave early greenlit to Euphoria Season 2. Thus it rapidly became the most popular show on HBO amongst the younger crowds. However, it’s filming is yet to start. But, it’s unclear when will production begins again. So, we could expect Euphoria Season 2 to premiere later this year.

HBO declared on social media soon after the production halted that cast reunited for a table read. So, fans can relax. Since scripting is complete, just filming is left. Further, Sydney Sweeney (Cassie) revealed that production would take a long time. Sydney stated: “I think everyone is hoping that filming will be back this summer. But they also don’t want to hurry anything. It isn’t safe. So I don’t think they want to get too much hope in our minds. And then have to push it longer. So, we’re just waiting and seeing right now.”

HBO’s Executive VP Praised The Show Curator

At the time of Euphoria renewal, HBO’s executive vice president of programming Francesca Orsi appreciated curator Sam. Orsi stated: “Euphoria creator Sam Levinson has built a wonderful world. With an outstanding cast led by the highly talented Zendaya. We are so pleased that he chose HBO as the home for this groundbreaking series”. Orsi added: “We look forward to following these complex characters. As their journeys continue through the challenging world they reside.”

Rue Chooses To Stay With Parents

In the previous season’s finale, Rue relapsed due to drug overdose. Now, it could be possible that the story would follow Rue’s struggles with her addiction and recovery. This time story might continue her rehab journey and how she overcomes her addiction. In the season finale, Rue chose to stay with her family instead of moving to the city with Jules. So, it could be possible that they would follow their separate paths now.

End Of Rue And Jules’ Relationship

Schafer (Jules) explained her willingness to move to the city. She stated: “I feel quite complicated about it. Because I wholeheartedly understand Jules’ desperate desire to be in a city where queer communities are easily accessible to her. And the energy that matches her frequency is accessible. And a train rides away”. She added: “But I also feel for Rue. It gets tough because their relationship was not naturally healthy all the time. I think they both depend on each other. But, like Rue, I understand why Jules left.”
