Gilmore Girls Season 9: It has been almost four years since fans last saw Gilmore Girls when they came back for a revival miniseries called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. After this revival series, all fans have started anticipating Gilmore Girls Season 9. Amy Sherman-Palladino and the cast came together at the ATX Television Festival back in 2015, and then Netflix announced the revival series a few months after that.

Upon the release, the show has got mixed reviews. This revival series ended with a cliff-hanger. This cliff-hanger had left the door open for many possibilities that the upcoming season could explore. What’s happening? Is the show coming? Here are all the details.

What’s The Renewal Status? 

As for now, Gilmore Girls haven’t officially received renewal. We do not have much information on whether if the ninth season of the comedy-drama is in the works. What we do know is, Sherman-Palladino, the creator of the show, right now has his hands full with his multi-year deal with Amazon for its much famous series- The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. This could be one of the major reason why there hasn’t been much news about Gilmore girls Season 9. 

Some cast members of the show have been pretty outspoken about the revival making sense or not. However, that isn’t anything to fear about. The silver lining here is Sherman Palladino’s deal has a clause, and it allows her to come back with Gilmore Girls’ revival with the streaming giant Netflix.

Also, Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel will be up for it if their characters have a sensible and solid storyline. Given that in the recent revival of the series- Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Rory gets pregnant, and the show ends, there is a lot of scope for more of the series. There are several questions that need to be addressed.  

Gilmore Girls Season 9: The Possible Storyline

One of the focus points of Gilmore Girls Season 9 will be Rory’s pregnancy. What would happen to it? Would she keep the baby? Who really is the baby’s father? Is it Logan or someone else? How would Rory parents the child? There are a number of questions circling that pregnancy storyline that fans want answers to. We can expect Gilmore Girls Season 9 to come bearing all of these answers.

The way the revival series ended, with the four words, it felt like Rory was following her mothers’ footsteps rather than making her own path. However, the story will not really end there. If Sherman-Palladino does comes back, she will get an opportunity to explore the storyline, and that might give Rory another future than what her mother had. 

2021 Release Date Possible

Given that Gilmore Girls Season 9 has not even been renewed yet, it is a bit difficult to predict when the season could release. What we do know is that the season will not release anytime soon. One of the main reasons for this is to co-ordinate the casts’ schedule. Alexis Bledel is right now busy with Hulu’s show- The Handmaid’s tale. Milo Ventimiglia and Melissa McCarthy are also busy with other projects right now.

However, all of these issues will be quite dependent on the format the creators choose to follow for Gilmore Girls Season 9. They could either choose to bring another set of all 90-minutes episodes following various seasons or bring the 22-episode run.

Until now, all the Gilmore Girls’ seasons have been released in either fall or winter. So, we can place our best bets for October 2021, for Gilmore Girls Season 9 release. Animal Kingdom Season 5: Renewal Status and Production Details

Animal Kingdom Season 5 has received renewal back in July 2019. Ever since then, fans have been looking forward to the release. Many fans had expected to see Animal Kingdom Season 5 in May 2020. The past three seasons have been releasing in May. However, that could not happen given the ongoing pandemic. The lockdown imposed had shut down all productions, and hence the creators could not move forward with the fifth season. We can expect all the cast members from the fourth season to return for Animal Kingdom season 5. While there has been a question on whether or not Ellen Barkin will really come back, we can expect her to come into the show in flashbacks and memories. In fact, in reviews, the critics have praised the actors for their progress on the show. Not just that, Critics have also called the show dark, intriguing, and interesting. As for Metacritic, the series has been able to bag 65 out of 100 scores. All this indicates that the show has had generally favorable reviews.

The first season of the show became very popular amongst all the fans worldwide. Ever since the first season concluded, fans have been looking forward to ‘Moon Lover: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. Is It Happening?

‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 1 released back in August 2016 on SBS. Ever since this release, the creators have not announced anything about ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. However, in an interview, actor Lee Joon-gi hinted about him returning to the show with the co-star Lee Ji-Eun, but then that wasn’t followed up, and as of now, we do not have any idea of what could be happening to ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. 

The initial season of the show concluded in November of the same year. The show has received criticism regarding the performance, direction, and screenplay. The show indeed had a high budget and ensemble cast, but it could not impress the critics. However, it looks like the fans have loved this show despite all of the criticism. 

Fans Want More Of The Show

Despite not being able to impress the critics, fans want to see more of it. All the fans of the K-drama have filed a petition to bring the show back. Until now, about 3884 fans have signed the petition. Fans of the show think that Scarlet Heart Ryeo ended on a cliffhanger, and it has left a number of fans heartbroken. All fans desperately want to know what would happen to Wang Soo and Hae Soon after the way the first season ended. Who Could Come Back for ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2? 

‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 1 tells the tale of twenty-five-year-old Go Ha-Jin, who somehow transported back in the time to the Goryeo Dynasty. She later on, wakes up in Lady Hae Soo’s body and finds herself in the ruling princes of the Wang Family. However, then Hae Soo is in love with some other princes. Although being in the place she is, she finds herself being a part of the politics and the war for the throne. 

There are a number of plotlines on the show that submerged into each other. However, the show has been successful in establishing that the palace Hae Soo is in is a dangerous place. There are all sorts of things happening there, including betrayal and murder. It was the kind of place that Hae Soo wanted to leave in order to survive. But for the princes, the only way to survive is either kill or be killed. So, as we move forward in the story, there are many Princes that take the throne as kings. Fans get to see how every prince is ready to do anything in order to get the throne. 

Scarlet Heart Ryeo does not have a very smooth plotline. There are a number of leaps. These leaps are mostly off-screen that leaves fans wondering what really happened there. With that said, all this has left many questions that fans need to answer for.

As for now, it has been four years since the show released, and there has been absolutely no word about if there will be a ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’ Season 2. Memories of Alhambra Season 2: The first season of ‘Memories of The Alhambra’ first released in December 2018 on tvN. After this release, the show became one of the highest rated Korean dramas of all time. The show received great reviews and acclaim. Soon after coming on tvN, the show released on Netflix for the global audience. The show was praised worldwide.

Directed by Ahn Gil-Ho, the show has bagged a whopping 7.8/10 rating, which is a great rating. After the first season released, fans of the show have been looking forward to ‘Memories of the Alhambra Season 2’. Memories of The Alhambra Season 2: What Could Happen?

The first season of ‘Memories of the Alhambra’ is the story of Yoo Jin Woo and Jung Hee Joo. Jin Woo is a strong and determined CEO of an investment company that works with optical devices. He also has an interest in developing video games. Down the line, when Jin-Woo gets a strange call from a programmer about an augmented reality game, he travels to Spain to bid on the game. However, when he reaches there, the maker has vanished. However, he meets Jung Hee Joo there. She is a guitarist and came to Spain to pursue her education. 

As both of them meet, the real story of ‘Memories of Alhambra’ starts. There are a number of twists and turns there. Woo begins playing the game himself using a contact lens and gets into the virtual world. He battles with many powerful warriors there and even dies many times. He is revived a number of times on the show.

With every revival, his sword-fighting skills start getting sharper, and in the end, he defeats the villain and gets to the next level. On the other hand, the romance between Jin Woo and Hee Joo starts blooming. The ‘Memories of the Alhambra Season 2’ will further expand the story as Yoo Jin Woo fights off the antagonist while also moving forward in his life with Jung Hee Joo.

Cast For The Second Season

Fans can expect the whole cast of the first season to come back for the second season. This includes Hyun Bin as Yoo Jin-Woo. Park Shin-Hye could also be coming back to play the role of Jung Hee-Joo. The first season of the show was released in 2017, followed by the second season in 2019. Disjointed features Kathy Bates. Bates plays the role of a life-long advocate who is trying to get marijuana legalized. Ever since the second season was released, there has been a major question of what would happen to Disjointed Season 3. What’s really happening? Here is all we know about it- 

Who is on the show? 

Warner Bros are the producers of the show. Chuck Lorre acts as the executive producer of the show. Lorre has been a part of a number of famous comedies, including Young Sheldon and Big Bang Theory. On the screen is Kathy Bates, who is the protagonist of the show- Ruth Whitefeather Feldman. Bates is a two-time Emmy winner. Ruth, Bates’ character, is an advocate who is trying hard to get marijuana legalized.

While she tries to get this done, she thankfully is supported by a number of people around her. These supporters include her son, a security guard, and a budtender. Playing these roles are Aaron Moten, who plays Travis Feldman, Ruth’s son. Tone Bell takes up the role of Carter, the security guard. Joining them is Elizabeth Alderger plays the role of a budtender. Other cast members include Nicole Sullivan, Michael Trucco, Peter Riegert, among many faces. 

What Is The Show About? 

The show follows Ruth Whitefeather Feldman, who has finally found a way to live her dream. Ruth is an advocate and finds a new purpose in her life. She wants to start a medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles. On her journey to open this dispensary, Ruth has to face a number of difficulties. However, with the support of a number of people, she finally opens up that dispensary. This road does not get any easier for her. She keeps facing one problem after the other. Her problems only increase when a web-show host Dabby and Dank add more to her plate. Things get even worse when Ruth mistakenly sells cannabis to minors. 

Disjointed Season 3: Is It Happening?

The comedy series has tried to opt for the same trick that has been used in the book. This method has indeed made a few scenes on the show a bit annoying. The only thing that seemed to save the show was Kathy Bates’ popularity. If not that, it would have been very difficult for the show to survive.

As for the critics’ radar, Disjointed hasn’t been able to impress the critics. The show was only able to bag about 19% Rotten Tomatoes for both seasons. The show hasn’t been able to receive great viewership. Netflix also canceled the comedy series. This news does come as sad one for all the Disjointed fans. However, Chuck Lorre continues to spread his magic with his show- The Kominsky Method. So, all fans can really move on to that show. 

Santa Clarita Diet Season 4: Created by Victor Fresco, Santa Clarita Diet is an American horror-comedy that first released in 2017 on Netflix. The show stars Timothy Olyphant and Drew Barrymore in the lead roles. Three seasons of the single-camera series are already out and everyone has been wondering what’s next?

Santa Clarita Diet follows Sheila and Joel Hammond who are suburban agents in Santa Clarita, California. The couple faces a sudden setback when Sheila undergoes a change and becomes undead. She starts craving human flesh. The family, along with Sheila have to go through a number of obstacles including neighbours, cultural norms while trying to solve this mystery. The third season of the show ended with a major cliffhanger.

It ended with a mystery surrounding Mr. Ball Legs and what would happen after Sheila sinks her teeth into Joel’s neck. These are the two big questions that have been haunting viewers. Will we get these answers in Santa Clarita Diet Season 4? Here is all we know-

Santa Clarita Diet Season 4: Is The Show Happening?

Unfortunately No! Netflix has cancelled the show after three seasons. So, we might never get to see Santa Clarita Diet Season 4. In an interview, the producer of the show- Tracy Katsky Boomer says that they are very sad about this cancellation. They loved making the show. In a statement, Victor Fresco and Boomer shared their disappointment too. They said that like the audience, they are also all-in about Sheila and Joel. Their relationship is incredible, funny and inspiring.

While showing how disappointed they were about it, both of them also praised Netflix for their initial support. Boomer and Fresco said that Netflix has taken a chance on this very odd show and they are very grateful for all the support, positivity and appreciation. The duo also said that they accept that all things end, and this show was also a thing and it ended.

Why Was The Show Cancelled?

Santa Clarita Diet Fans’ reaction was understandably aggressive. Fans were angry and obviously wanted answers for such an upsetting decision. While Netflix usually does not give away behind the scenes but this time there were certainly some clues out there on why was the show cancelled? At a conference, the head of original content, Cindy Holland discussed why they cancel the shows. She says that whether the show moves forward or gets cancelled is all dependent on whether if Netflix is getting as much as they are putting on the stake.

In the interview, Holland stated that usually decisions like these are a combination of things. When Netflix invests into something, they decide how much they want to invest based on how much audience would show up. If the audience does not show up, they think that they don’t have a reason to continue investing in the show. Critical claim is important but then they are also trying to stretch the investment to as far as they can do good for investor’s money.

Netflix does not usually release the viewership figures. So, we don’t really know what were the viewership numbers of Santa Clarita Diet. However, given that the show is cancelled, we can say that it was not enough. The third season of the show left viewers with a number of questions. Fans had hoped that Santa Clarita Diet Season 4 would come bearing the answers. However, now that will not be happening.
