After August 2020, the Wotakoi manga series serialized a total of nine volumes. Whereas, the tenth volume has already been confirmed for 2021. Well, the 11-episode long anime adaptation only covered the first four books of its webmanga. Hence, A-1 Pictures still has more than enough source material to produce future seasons of the anime. However, Wotakoi Season 2 is likely to adapt the plot of Volume 5 through 8 only. Writer-illustrator Fujita is still writing installments of the manga. Thus, at this pace, we might be able to watch the third season as well.

Wotakoi Season 2: Release Date

As mentioned before, the release date of Wotakoi Season 2 is likely to coincide with Volume 11 of the manga. Since Volume 10 will be coming out in 2021, the eleventh volume might get pushed back until 2022. For that, the productions of the sequel must begin by next year. How Not To Summon A Demon Lord or Isekai Maō to Shōkan Shōjo no Dorei Majutsu originated as a light novel series back in December 2014. Within a few months, the LN series gained immense popularity, which led to the renewal of several adaptations. This includes a manga adaptation and an anime series. The 2018 anime attained a fanbase of its own and became a commercially successful project for Studio Ajia-do Animation Works.

Change In Animation Studios

A few months ago, fans were quite afraid about the future of their favorite anime. The chances for the renewal of How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 2 were dim because of its studio’s history. The animation studio of the first season, Ajio-do Animation Works, is infamous for not producing a sequel. Aside from a couple of shows, the studio had never renewed any of its anime for a second run. Hence, viewers were anxious that the same could happen to ‘Isekai Maou’ as well. 

Fortunately, after a long wait, the second season of the anime was officially renewed. However, that only happened because the animation studios had been switched. Yes, Ajio-do Animation Works will no longer produce the sequel of the popular anime. As per the latest reports, Tezuka Production and Okuru To Noboru will helm the upcoming installment. The Isekai Maou light novel series has been running since 2014. As of June 2020, thirteen volumes of the series have been published. Besides, the LN is still in the run and might continue for a few more installments. However, the anime adaptation of the books covered the plot of only three light novel volumes. This leaves around ten books for sequels of the anime. Hence, there is indeed enough source material for the upcoming set of episodes. 

How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Omega is likely to pick up its plot after the third LN volume. Hence, it might feature the story of Volume 4 through 6. Based on the source material, Diablo and his cohorts would get involved with the political turmoil of the church. As a result, Diablo ends up in-fighting the dangers that are harming the kingdom. In the process, he accidentally rescues the high Priest of the Church of Celestials alongside Lumachina Weselia. 

It turns out that she was being targeted for assassination by Gewalt, a Church Paladin. Although after an incident where Lumachina saves Gewalt, the Okama gives up on being a Paladin and ends up joining another organization. Later on in the story, we will get to meet new characters like Fanis Laminitus (a fiery magic gunner), a maid named Rose, and others. How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 2: Release Date Announced?

Fortunately, the new animators of the popular anime have announced the release of its second season. Tezuka Productions and Okuru To Noboru have confirmed that How Not To Summon A Demon Lord Season 2 will hit the screens sometime next year. However, they are yet to give us a definite date.
